OVERVIEW

Julie is a co-founding partner of Pontis Global. Julie serves as an independent director/advisory board member on investment funds providing oversight and governance. Julie has been working in the financial services industry in the Cayman Islands since 1999 with extensive experience in the funds industry, including administration, audit, internal controls, FATCA and compliance.


BACKGROUND

Prior to her governance role, she spent 11 years with Admiral Administration Ltd departing as Compliance Manager, where she was responsible for compliance, the design and implementation of FATCA services for client funds, as well as the design and implementation of policies and procedures in relation to their SSAE16 controls report across the Admiral group, including offices in Cayman, US, Canada and Ireland. Prior to this role, she was a Group Manager overseeing the administration of more than 100 funds with assets in excess of US$10 billion. Prior to Admiral, Julie spent two years with Deutsche Bank (Cayman) Ltd where she was Assistant Manager for a team servicing structured finance vehicles, and 2 years with KPMG Cayman Islands auditing clients, predominantly in the hedge funds industry.


EDUCATION & MEMBERSHIP

Julie qualified as a Chartered Professional Accountant in 1998 and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from Carleton University in Canada.
She is an Accredited Director with the Chartered Secretaries of Canada, and a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist with ACAMS. She is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada, the Cayman Islands Society of Professional Accountants and the Cayman Islands Directors Association.
Julie is licensed as a Director with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA) pursuant to the Directors Registration and Licensing Act, 2014.
