OVERVIEW

Leon is a co-founding partner of Pontis Global. Leon is an experienced independent director who serves on the board of investment funds and is based in the Cayman Islands.

Prior to Pontis Global, he was an independent director at Ironstone Directors a subsidiary of Intertrust Group, a CSC company. Leon serves as an independent board member to a range of investment entities and strategies, including hedge and private equity funds, corporate structures and SPVs.


BACKGROUND

Leon is a Chartered Certified Accountant with considerable experience in audit, accounting, and administration of investment structures. In 2005 he joined the fund administration team of Close Brothers Cayman, an Intertrust Group predecessor entity, and later moved into the fiduciary services group. Prior to joining Intertrust Group, Leon spent two years as a Senior Internal Auditor with the Cayman Islands Government.

Leon started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers Jamaica in audit and business advisory services and has also held industry positions in accounting and business analysis.


EDUCATION & MEMBERSHIPS

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, awarded by the University of the West Indies at Mona. Leon is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), a Member of the Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants (CIIPA), Member of the Cayman Islands Directors Association (CIDA), an Accredited Director with the Chartered Governance Institute of Canada (formerly the Institute of Chartered Secretaries Canada).

Leon is licensed as a Director with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA), pursuant to the Directors Registration and Licensing Act (as amended).
