Grant Cellier
Co-founder and partner
Grant Cellier is a co-founding partner of Pontis Global. Based in the Cayman Islands, Grant serves as an independent director on hedge funds, private equity funds and special purpose vehicles (regulated and non-regulated). Grant has a special interest in the governance and regulatory issues facing investment managers of Cayman Islands domiciled funds.
Grant has worked in the offshore financial services industry for over ten years, including as an independent director with Intertrust for over seven years and several years in the KPMG Deal Advisory teams in both the Cayman Islands and Hong Kong. Grant’s work with KPMG primarily related to the financial and operational restructuring of Cayman Islands and British Virgin Islands registered investment vehicles, often with a global investor base and asset allocation. Prior to this, Grant worked as an auditor with KPMG South Africa, where his industry focus was consumer markets.
Grant is a member of the Cayman Islands Directors Association and a Chartered Accountant with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (with Honours) in Accounting from the University of Johannesburg. He also obtained his Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency from the Insolvency Practitioners’ Association.
