Padraig Hoare

Padraig is a co-founding partner of Pontis Global. Padraig serves as an independent director on investment funds providing independent oversight and governance. As an independent director, he sits on a broad range of open and closed-ended funds. He also sits on a number of special purpose vehicles and holding companies.

Padraig has been working in the financial services industry in the Cayman Islands for over 25 years with extensive experience in the hedge funds and banking industries covering administration, risk management and compliance. 

Prior to co-founding Pontis Global in 2023, Padraig was an independent Director with Ironstone Global Solutions, a subsidiary of Intertrust Group, a CSC company.

Prior to joining Intertrust Group, Padraig spent 8 years with Admiral Administration Ltd. as Head of Risk Management for the Admiral Group which has offices in the Cayman Islands, US, Canada and Ireland. Admiral, now part of the MUFG Group is a hedge fund administration company. Prior to Admiral, Padraig spent 8 years with Dresdner Bank Lateinamerika AG in the Cayman Islands, departing as Head of Projects and Compliance. Prior to this, Padraig held senior audit positions at Grant Thornton in the Cayman Islands and in Ireland for 2 years and 4 years respectively.

Padraig has a Bachelor's degree in Business Studies from Dublin City University in Ireland and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1992. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, a fellow of the International Compliance Association, a Certified Fraud Examiner, a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, a member of the Cayman Islands Directors Association and a former member of the executive committee of the Cayman Islands Compliance Association. Padraig is licensed as a Director with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority pursuant to the Directors Registration and Licensing Act, 2014.
